      With 50 degree weather everyday this week, it's hard to believe it's only January.  This unexpectedly warm winter has left us here at Renewal (and I'm sure you too!) struggling to find the appropriate attire. Our solution?  A denim jacket.

Well, we are 13-days into the new year...how are your resolutions holding up?

I have two resolutions this year, the first one is I am not going to forget any of my friend's birthdays and the other is I refuse to hit the snooze button in the morning.  Considering I wished a friend of mine happy birthday 2-days early by accident and my husband still yells "come on! get up!" every morning, I guess I'm not off to a great start.

We're going to talk about the two most popular resolutions and show you how we can help you stay on track...

This week we're putting a twist on the typical Feel Fresh Friday and giving you a different way to 'feel fresh' this weekend.

I know these last few weeks have been a time of cleaning out the house and trying to get rid of unwanted items, so I thought it would be a great time to do a blanket drive!  I searched high and low for companies who ran these drives in New Jersey and New York and to my surprise, it was an impossible feat.

Recently I was in touch with a great woman named Allie from Family Promise of Morris County.  This is a not-for-profit organization which helps homeless families of Morris County get back on their feet and back into a sustainable life on their own. They provide full time case management to their families in the emergency shelter and also have something called the Permanent Supportive Housing Program which is a voluntary transitional resource for families once they are in independent housing.

We are looking to help them out by collecting blankets, sheets, pillows and towels...by you giving back to your community, Growing Kids and Renewal will give back to you.  Just for donating, you will receive a coupon for $5.00 off your purchase!  The collection will be going on until February 1st here in the store.  Every little bit helps, thanks for taking the time to read this and please pass it along to your friends and family!

Ladies night out!

Now that the holidays are over and you have been busy focusing all your efforts on everyone else...it's time to turn the attention on yourself.
