Feel Fresh Fridays: How to Wear Sheer

For the past few years, sheer fabrics have made their way onto the runway and into the streets as accent pieces. For spring/summer 2013, sheer fabrics have become a statement. The great thing about this trend is that there are multiple ways it can be worn, depending on how much skin you are comfortable with showing.

Subtle Sheer:
If you want to dip your toes in this trend without going overboard, try a sheer piece with many layers. The layers help the piece appear opaque, but it is still an obvious interpretation of the trend. In this case, the sheer is more of an accent than a statement.

Sheer Assets:
Sheer fashion is all about showing something off. The safest way to embrace this trend is to use sheer elements to highlight your assests. This could mean anything from the more common sheer sleeves to show off your arms, to backless dresses. The key is to pick which asset you would like to highlight and pick your peices according. Below is a black top with sheer sleeves.

Sexy Sheer:
If you're more willing to take a risk and go all out, choose a sheer top paired with statement lingerie. To draw attention away from the lingerie, embrace color to distract from the sheerness or layer with a blazer.

Here are a few more of Renewal's pieces to help you adapt this trend into your wardrobe.
