(201) family is a complimentary magazine and a fantastic resource guide for families in the North Jersey area.  We always have copies available for you to enjoy here in the store and this month's issue has a segment on family favorites which is their first annual readers' choice awards.  To our surprise we were selected for the Morris County pick for best consignment store in the shopping section.  We would like to extend a big thank you to the readers who voted for us and for our customers who have continued to support us over the last 20-years!

The holiday season is an exciting time of the year where we can enjoy time spent with family and friends, but it tends to leave everyone exhausted. Whether you hosted Thanksgiving dinner in your home this year, or traveled to visit loved ones, I'm sure there was a lot of running around in preparation.  

Those of you that ventured out for Black Friday shopping must be especially tired and ready for a cozy weekend at home. I have to say, a pair of boots is just as good of an investment as a great pair of jeans.  Both of these items are easy to splurge on and can definitely be justified - especially if you manage to find a pair for half of the original price!

Boots are the one thing you can wear for a solid 8 months out of the year and can be paired with nearly anything from shorts and skirts to dresses and jeans.  Not to mention a really good pair just gets better with age and can always be re-soled to extent their life.  We have had some incredible styles in already and our options continue to change daily.

 

 

this season's shoe trends at last season's prices...

I can't tell you how many times I have explained our store to someone and their response is, "oh that's like shopping for last year's styles" or "oh, you mean like the Goodwill?"  I cringe on the inside...smile on the outside...and kindly explain to them that while we are a resale store, we only select things that are in-style and on-trend with current fashions.  We scour blogs and magazines about what's hot right now and our buyers are trained in selecting only items which fall into these trends.

Understanding that you can still get this season's fashions for a fraction of the cost seems to be the biggest obstacle for people to overcome while they are contemplating shopping in a resale or consignment store.

As far as women's shoes are concerned...the hottest trends right now are glitter, menswear, bold color, leopard, and as always for the fall/winter, boots! (wedge boots and booties to be exact, and we have exactly what you are looking for)
